What is the best cruise line for two young 23 year old adults?
Question: Me and my boyfriend are planning to take a Caribbean cruise next year. I want to know which cruise line is the most suitable for us? We’re in the early 20′s, so I don’t want to be on the same ship with older people, families or a bunch of kids. I want to go on a Caribbean cruise which not leads to Mexico. I’ve already been to Mexico and I would like to go somewhere else. Can you suggest me which cruise line should I go? Thanks.
Answer: Your choice of a Caribbean cruise is absolutely great. There are many Caribbean destinations you can go, like western, eastern and southern of Caribbean. A Western Caribbean cruise is going to Belize, Key West, Cozumel Mexico, Progresso Mexico, Jamaica and so on, depends on which line you choose. Eastern Caribbean generally will bring you a 7-night vacation to Nassau, St. Marteen, St. Thomas and/or to the private island owns by the cruise lines. A Southern Caribbean goes to Barbados, San Juan , Aruba and deep southern islands. If you want to go with a southern cruise, you will have to book a plane flaying to the San Juan cruise port.
Please notice that if you are searching for youth cruise lines (family cruise) then there will have families and children on board. If you want to avoid this thing, you can book during off season (no school holiday). There will be less children on the ships. The most suitable cruise lines for your age would be Carnival, Royal Caribbean and NCL. If you are looking for more older adult you can go with Holland America and Celebrity cruise lines. However, most major cruise lines have pretty much all ages on board.
Please do a small research on your own by looking at the top three mainstream cruise lines websites, there are http://www.ncl.com, http://www.carnival.com and http://www.royalcaribbean.com. Find out how big the ship is, what itineraries are offered, how much the price is, etc. Or you can contact travel agencies or cruise specialists to get more information. They will help you by asking you questions and then make a recommendation of what the best cruise line for you is based on your answers.
I’ll give you my recommendation based on my own experience.
Royal Caribbean offers a lot of things on board for various ages. They have rock climbing walls, mini golf courts, pools, games and on the latest ships they even have ‘Flow Rider’, a surfing simulator pool.
Carnival is a bit different. Carnival offers a bit more activities for people your age, especially on the 3-4 night cruise there will be more your age group on the ship. Carnival was knows as the “party ship”, but they are more to families right not. Book in off season and you will find less children on the ship.
NCL also offers a lot of activities for your age group. You could join many variety of other activities. They have a bowling alley on the newer ships!
But all comes back on how much you want to spend for your cruise. There are also options for cheaper booking, like last minute cruise deals and so on.
Hope you choose the best one and good luck!
